Rozetta shares what we learn - we turn our experience backing initiatives and building collaborations into practical resources, guides and publications

CRC Start Up Playbook

As we talk to Cooperative Research Centres (CRCs) around Australia, a common refrain is that it would be great if new CRCs could learn from others on how to set up a new CRC venture. To meet this need, Rozetta’s operations team have been working on the formation of a ‘Playbook’ for starting up a CRC. This is a repository of information for CRCs who have received Commonwealth Funding and are at the set-up and start-up phase.

This information has been transformed into a Wiki website and can be used to ensure that a strong foundation of management, governance, processes and systems are in place at a CRCs establishment.

The Wiki website allows other users (external to Rozetta), who have experience with setting up a CRC, the opportunity to collaborate, add content and provide comment to help evolve it. The end result will be a comprehensive library and template for successfully establishing a CRC.

CRC Catalyst: How businesses get value from CRCs

The Rozetta Institute is pleased to announce the launch of CRC Catalyst: How businesses get value from CRCs at the Collaborate Innovate 2026 conference on 20 May 2026.

Developed in partnership with Cooperative Research Australia (CRA), the free guide has been created to help businesses better understand Australia’s Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) Program and the practical value that collaborative, industry-led research partnerships can deliver.

Drawing on insights from organisations that have participated in CRCs and CRC Projects (CRC-Ps), the guide explores how businesses can access commercialisable IP, build strategic partnerships, fast-track innovation, connect with talent, and strengthen long-term capability through collaboration.

Developed collaboratively by CRA and Rozetta, the guide is intended as a practical resource for organisations exploring new ventures, capability development and accelerated pathways to commercialisation.
